DIWODEHealthCampforPeoplewithDisabilities
Accessible and inclusive healthcare in partnership with Disabled Women in Development.
In June 2024, Muundo Foundation partnered with Disabled Women in Development (DIWODE) to support a large-scale health camp held at Makerere University Main Grounds.
Reaching over 300 people with disabilities, including individuals living with vitiligo, the camp positioned healthcare as an inclusive, community-rooted service rather than just a clinical one.
Multi-Stakeholder Coalition
The initiative brought together a diverse group of public and private sector partners to provide comprehensive screenings and care:
Non-Clinical Expertise
Muundo's role focused on health knowledge, awareness, and social inclusion. Through community engagement, the Foundation expanded public understanding of vitiligo and other conditions.
By complementing clinical services with non-clinical expertise, Muundo addressed the social and informational barriers that prevent marginalized communities from accessing equitable healthcare.

Stigma-Free Health Environments
This activity reflects Muundo's approach: working alongside medical professionals to strengthen public education, referrals, and inclusion, while remaining firmly within the ethical boundaries of a non-clinical organisation.
